This is a high quality photoelectric smoke detector suitable for the home.

Unlike the cheaper ionisation type smoke detectors, photoelectric detectors do not have any issues with disposal once the detectors has come to the end of its life cycle and also have a longer life span.

The detector features photoelectric detection which has been proven to detect smouldering fires faster than their ionisation counterparts. This type of detector is great for most aplications provided they are not extremely drafty or dusty.

These detectors are powered from a 9VDC battery which is supplied with the unit.

Smoke Detectors must be tested regularly and the battery changed annualy to ensure correct operation!
